How To Use Atomic Learning StoryBoard Pro

StoryBoard Pro is a free software program your students can use in planning the organization of the digital video they will create.

Instructions on how to use the program are included on the Visual Voices Storyboard Pro webpage.

To run the StoryBoard Pro program, open the folder inside the Applications folder on your hard drive and double click on the StoryBoard.USR icon.

A new window will open. Enter the movie name and produced by information. To move from field to field, click on the tab button.

Select list view and a new window will open. Most of the work you will do on the storyboard will take place in the list view.

1) Adding a Clip
Click on New Shot button at the top of the list view window or the insert button on the right side of the window.

2) Organizing a Clip
Change the order of the clips in List View. Find the Order No. box and enter the new clip number, then click on the Sort button.

3) Deleting a Clip
Select the clip you want to delete, and click on the Delete button.

4) Checking Your Spelling
Click on the Spell Check button. Questionable spellings will appear, and you are given the option to replace, add or skip a word.

5) Printing the Completed Storyboard
To print your storyboard, select the Print View option at the bottom of the window. The Print Options window will open, and you can choose to preview or print with or without tips.

6) Printing a Blank Storyboard Worksheet
If you want your students to have a paper version of a blank storyboard (in the list view) to write on, select the Worksheet link at the bottom of the window. You will be given the option to preview or print 4-clip or 6-clip worksheets.
