IMPORTING IMAGES

From a digital camera

  1. Plug the digital video camera into the computer’s USB port.
  2. iPhoto will launch automatically. Click on the Import button at the bottom of the window.

From an image file

  1. With iPhoto open, select File > Import.
  2. In the window that opens, find the file and click on the blue Import button.
CROPPING IMAGES
  1. With the image you want to crop highlighted, click on the Edit button at the bottom of the window.
  2. Notice that when the cursor is moved over the picture, the pointer changes from an arrow to a cross.
  3. Place the cross at the corner of your selection, and drag until you have reached the size you want. The area that will be removed after cropping will be grayed.
  4. Click on the Crop button at the bottom left of the window.
ORGANIZING IMAGES

Creating an iPhoto album

  1. Select File > New Album or click “+” at the lower left.
  2. Enter a name for the new album, and it will appear in the column on the left of the window.
Adding a picture to an iPhoto album
  1. Double click on the Photo Library.
  2. Find the picture you want to move and drag it into the album.
Removing a picture from an album or the Photo library
  1. Open the album or the library.
  2. Find the picture you want to move and drag it into the trash.
