Canon PowerShot A60 Digital Still Camera



Inserting the Compact Flash Card
  1. Open the CF cover on the right side of the camera by sliding it toward the rear of the camera.
  2. Insert the card into the slot with the label facing you and the arrow pointing into the slot.
  3. Close the CF cover by sliding it toward the front of the camera until it clicks.
Taking a Picture
  1. Press and hold the On/Off button on the top of the camera until the green indicator light on the left of the viewfinder begins blinking green.
  2. Move the mode switch to Shoot. The small bump on the switch should point to the camera icon.
  1. Set the dial on the top of the camera to AUTO.
  2. Focus the camera by pressing the shutter button halfway down. The camera will beep twice when the picture is in focus.
  1. Change the zoom by shifting the small knob on the ring that surrounds the shutter button. Moving it to the right will zoom in, and moving it to the left will zoom out.
  2. Press the shutter button all the way down to shoot the picture. You will hear the shutter sound when the picture has been taken.
  3. Press and hold the On/Off button to power down the camera. The camera will shut down on its own if it has not been used for three minutes.

Reviewing Pictures
  1. With the camera turned on, move the mode switch to Replay (the small bump on the switch should point to the arrow icon).
  2. Move from image to image by pressing the right or left buttons on the circle on the rear of the camera.
Deleting Images in Review Mode
  1. Select the image you want to delete.
  2. Press the FUNC button. The camera will ask you if you want to erase.
  3. Press the SET button to erase the image.

Importing Images into iPhoto
  1. Connect the camera to your computer using the USB cord provided.
  2. Turn on the camera.
  3. Open iPhoto and begin importing. For more information on the import process, refer to the iPhoto training materials.
