Transforming Lives Through Resilience Education: Online Curriculum

A resilient individual possesses the psychological and biological strengths necessary to master change successfully and bounce back when the going gets tough.  Opportunity-driven rather than danger-driven, resilient individuals respond to stress in ways that help them not only recover, but also grow and thrive.

The online resilience program, prepared by Dr. Steinhardt, is hosted by the University of Texas at Austin and consists of four mini-lectures, or modules. Each of the four modules is presented in audio form, accompanied by Flash animation and short interactive quizzes to promote learning. At the end of each session, participants can print a PDF file that includes a short assignment, reading materials that summarize the module, and a list of suggested books to read.

CEU credit is available for Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, Physical Therapists, and Texas Law Enforcement Officers.

A long, healthy, and happy life is the result of making contributions, of having meaningful projects that are personally exciting and contribute to and bless the lives of others.
