Nancy
Roser is Professor of Language and Literacy
Studies at The University of Texas. She teaches undergraduate
and graduate courses in language arts, reading, and children’s
literature. Her research in classrooms and homes focuses on
understanding the how’s and why’s of sharing books

Joan Shiring,
Ph.D., coordinates the Secondary English Education program
at the University of Texas. A Senior Lecturer in the Department
of Curriculum and Instruction, she currently teaches undergraduate
and graduate classes in young-adult literature and English
methods. Her years as a secondary English teacher and Co-Director
of the Austin Writing Project keep her attuned to the best
books for teenagers, as well as the strategies and resources
essential for sharing literature.
Barbara Immroth
is Professor of Information Sciences at The University of
Texas. A former graduate advisor, a longtime instructor of
materials for children, and a former member of the Newbery,
Caldecott, and Texas Bluebonnet award committees, Barbara
is a national expert in Children’s Literature.
Liu, Min is Associate
Professor of Instructional Technology and one of the foremost
authorities in understanding the use of technology in classrooms.
Her expertise underlies the technical aspects of this project.
