Activity Summary

Children complete paths (such as the one below) several times and analyze the information in the corresponding paths' worksheets.

Mathematical Goals

This activity explores connections between addition, subtraction and multiplication. It revisits place value and, for more advanced children, the distributive law. Children will work with variables in a simplified way.

Each child will need several copies of the Number Paths and one copy of each worksheet. All the material is included in the Lesson Kit.
