Event hours are 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Two shifts: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
                12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Description:
Outdoor Kids Adventure Day (OKAD) provides a hands-on introductino to outdoor recreation and learning at a fun-filled event on the shores of Lake Lady Bird at Fiesta Gardens in Austin. Presented by Texas Parks and Wildlife, Austin Parks & Recreation, The Expedition School, and REI, OKAD introduces the outdoors and healthy lifestyle choices to communities that do not typically engage in these activites. Be a volunteer and help kids participate in a variety of outdoor related activies. We'll provde the training. Download flyer.

Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and water. All activity-specific training will be provided on-site. There is limited on-site parking, so carpooling is encouraged.
