Instructions for students:

Upon first visiting this site, you will need to click the "Create new account" link, then fill in the applicable information. Your user name should be "LastName FirstName" (i.e. if your name is John Smith, your user name should be "Smith John"). If you get an error message that this name is already in use, then add some unique identifier onto the end (example: "Smith John A" if your name was John Andrew Smith and "Smith John" was already taken). This will send you a verification email, which you must read and click a link on to verify their account.

Once you've set up your account, you will see the "Sign up", "Schools", "My Schedule", and "Sign Out" options at the top. From here, you can click Schools to see the map of all of the schools you can volunteer at, to find one you like by location. Then you can go to the Sign Up page, and select that school from the school drop down menu, or choose a day and a grade level if the location isn't terribly important to you. Be sure you are only signing up for one school, one day, one time slot for one 4-week period. Once you find a sign up time you want, click the Signup link that is on the right, which will take you to the sign up page. It automatically fills out the name and email address fields, and you have the option to add a phone number, but all of this data is only visible to administrators. Once you've signed up, that signup will appear on your My Schedule page. You can also comment on that sign up, to discuss carpooling or anything else with other people signed up for that same time.
