While still largely a new phenomena, World Wide Web usage has grown
dramatically in the past year throughout the general public and will no
doubt continue its explosive presence into the nation's school system.
Essentially, the "Web" is a user-friendly, graphic interface to the
Internet which allows for the use of color, graphics, and hypertext to
connect numerous sites in a visually pleasing manner. New sites are coming
on line daily, and it's extremely difficult to keep up with all the
interesting resources that are available. Currently, two applications
dominate the market, Mosaic and Netscape¨. These appliations are nicknamed
"Browsers" in the cyberworld vocabulary, and it is possible to "point" your
browser to sites (some of which are listed below).
