World Wide Web

While still largely a new phenomena, World Wide Web usage has grown dramatically in the past year throughout the general public and will no doubt continue its explosive presence into the nation's school system. Essentially, the "Web" is a user-friendly, graphic interface to the Internet which allows for the use of color, graphics, and hypertext to connect numerous sites in a visually pleasing manner. New sites are coming on line daily, and it's extremely difficult to keep up with all the interesting resources that are available. Currently, two applications dominate the market, Mosaic and Netscape¨. These appliations are nicknamed "Browsers" in the cyberworld vocabulary, and it is possible to "point" your browser to sites (some of which are listed below).
