This QTVR Object movie was created by fourth and fifth graders at Santa Clara Day School. You can see the gourd in the Winter Garden pano. Fifth graders Kacie and James explain some of the uses Pueblo people make of this kind of gourd:
Gourds are vegetables that are closely related to squashes and pumkins. They grow into many different shapes and colors. The leaves are large pointed lobes and has yellow flowers that grow.
Gourds can be used for rattles, water dippers, water bottles, and for shaping pottery.
