Mapping a Sub-Domain

Once a site has been created, a sub-domain may be mapped to it by an Administrator by:

  1. Going to Service Settings > Sites;
  2. Clicking Web address mapping > Add a new web address;
  3. Entering the site location and the name of the subdomain you would like to use.

In so doing, you will be able to effectively change the url of a given site from something like https://sites.google.com/a/coe-sandbox.its.utexas.edu/ideatest/ to ideatest.coe-sandbox.its.utexas.edu.
