Google Sites is designed to allow you to easily and collaboratively create websites.

General Information

Google Sites works by basically allowing you to:

  1. Choose a template, which has a pre-constructed look and series of pages, for your site;
  2. Select site settings, including access permissions and url;
  3. Edit the content on pages;
  4. Customize template elements like the header or logo, sidebar, and so forth.

Example Uses for Education

  • Creating an online curriculum vitae or portfolio;
  • Collaborating on an organizational or group website;
  • Designing a web quest or other educational website.
