Google Sites is designed to allow you to easily and collaboratively create websites and can be useful for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Creating an online curriculum vitae or portfolio;
  • Collaborating on an organizational or group website;
  • Designing a web quest or other educational website.

General Information

Google Sites works by basically allowing you to:

  1. Choose a template and settings for your site, which has a pre-constructed look and series of pages;
  2. Edit the content on pages;
  3. Customize the template elements like the header or logo, sidebar, and so forth.
