FIT Research Services
The Fitness Institute of Texas (FIT) has experience providing fee based support for a variety of research projects, including NIH funded projects. FIT has equipment, facilities, and personnel to assist with research design and data collection. Executive Director Phil Stanforth has an extensive research background including over 40 peer reviewed co-authored publications, serving as Local Project Coordinator for the multi-centered NIH funded HERITAGE Family Study, and serving as a research team member of other NIH funded studies.
FIT is best suited to assist with projects involving the assessment of aerobic fitness, balance, body composition, bone density, physical activity, and general physical fitness. FIT also has training facilities for studies which include aerobic and strength training.
