Aerobic FIT
Measures: cardiovascular and cardio-respiratory endurance (VO2max), maximal HR, and heart rate training zones. This test is ideal for everyone, from beginners to competitive athletes.
Body Comp FIT
Measures: body fat %, fat mass, and bone mass for the arms, legs, trunk and total body. In addition, a recommended weight is calculated.
Breakfast n Lose
Breakfast n Lose is a 12 week nutrition and behavior change program developed specifically for individuals who want to lose weight.
Calorie FIT
Measures: resting metabolic rate (RMR) and estimates total daily energy expenditure and caloric expenditure of daily physical activity. Includes recommended caloric intake.
Exercise RX
Exercise RX provides an individualized, in-depth exercise prescription and consultation with an experienced FIT exercise professional addressing your specific goals and challenges. We utilize both informational and hands-on teaching to provide you with the knowledge you need to make life-long changes.
GET FIT
GET FIT is a 12-week exercise and weight loss program administered by FIT staff. This personalized program involves three workouts and one luncheon seminar each week.
GET FIT Diabetes
GET FIT Diabetes is a specialized education program for people with pre-diabetes, Type-2 Diabetes and or insulin resistance. It is a 12-week program administered by a registered and licensed dietitian.
Lunch n Lose
Lunch n Lose is a 12 week nutrition and behavior change program developed specifically for individuals who want to lose weight.
Muscle FIT
Measures: muscular strength, muscular endurance, muscular power, core endurance, lower back flexibility, hamstring flexibility, and posture. Analyzes potential tight or weak muscles that may hinder the benefits of exercising.
Nutrition FIT
Nutrition FIT provides an in depth, ADA comparative analysis of your dietary intake and nutrition goals. Each individual consultation includes a dietary assessment, evaluation, and meal plan development with a registered and licensed dietitian. Nutrition counseling is available for a variety of needs, including weight loss, sport specific, endurance training, strength training, pregnancy, vegetarian, and general health.
Can I Pay for the Program with my UT Flex Account?
If your doctor has recommended a diet and exercise plan for a medical reason (i.e. to lower your blood pressure, to control your diabetes, anemia, etc) you can use your UT Flex account to pay for GET FIT. You must provide signed documentation from your doctor for approval. You can use the form provided below to obtain a signature from your doctor. If you have additional questions, please contact Human Resources.
