This model simulates the spread of a disease through a population.  Each student controls his/her person.  Someone catches a cold.  The cold propagates through the population.  A graph of the number sick is plotted.  The curriculum unit begins with an activity called Dice and Disease that has students move around the room and roll dice to decide who gets sick.  This physical activity scaffolds students' subsequent engagement with the HubNet disease simulation.
