Introduction

The purpose of this website is to enlighten individuals to the unspoken truth of racial violence towards Mexican Americans in America.  Racism in all shapes and forms is an ugly subject that unfortunately, many Americans today try to "solve" the by ignoring the topic completely.  Racism will never go away unless students, teachers, and individuals take charge of learning, studying and examining the history and acts of racial violence so that they will never be repeated again.

In this website you will find many different elements that explore and expose this traumatic period of America’s History.

In out photographic and DBQ sections you will find graphic visual images depicting the horror of this time period.  Two of the images correspond directly with our two case studies. The other images offer other insight into this time period…

The DBQ’s are there to help the viewer critically think and analyze the case studies and images.

In our personal account section, we offer eyewitness repots to the viewer.  These primary sources offer insight into the incidents that one could find nowhere else.  They help the reader understand the thoughts and actions of people we who actually there!

We have also chosen to post an emotional poem and political cartoon to help the viewer as well as a chart with statistics, which can be found in the section titled “Others”.

In the Case studies section we have chose two stories that we feel offer a diverse and in-depth insight into this tragedy.  However, please note that there are many more incidences and cases than depicted in our website.
