13. What computer literacy classes can I take?

Students pursuing Early Childhood to Grade Four Generalist, Bilingual Generalist, and All-level Generic Special Education majors are no longer required to take a separate computer literacy course. Computer skills are a part of the Professional Development Sequence courses. If a student needs or wants to take a computer literacy course they can take EDC 371 Computing Tools for Educators, INF 312, TLC 311, CS 302, CS 303E, or MIS 311F at UT Austin; COSC 1300 or 1301 at Austin Community College; or a computer literacy course approved by an advisor in the Student Division of the College of Education Dean's Office, SZB 216 or BEL 1005.

14. I have an advising audit that is not accurate. What should I do?

If there appears to be an error, or if you are having difficulty understanding your audit, please see a degree evaluator or an advisor in the Student Division of the College of Education Dean's Office, SZB 216, or an advisor in BEL 1005.

15. When do I apply to graduate?

You should apply to graduate during the first two weeks of your final semester. You must file online at https://utdirect.utexas.edu:443/coe/.

16. Do all of my classes in my last year have to be taken at UT-Austin?

Twenty-four of your last thirty semester hours must be taken in residence at UT Austin. Classroom and online courses taken through the Division of Continuing and Extended Education and courses taken at other colleges are not considered in residence. All non-residence course work must be posted to your transcript by the deadline to apply to graduate during your final semester. Check with a degree evaluator in the Student Division of the College of Education Dean's Office, SZB 216, for the deadline date.
