Researchers in Special Education Ranked Third Nationally
Science Watch, an online publication that tracks science research, has ranked The University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Special Education in the top five nationally when it comes to articles published by faculty researchers.
Vanderbilt University topped the list, followed by the University of Kansas, The University of Texas at Austin, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Louisiana State University.
The ranking was based on 4,222 scholarly articles published between 2005 and 2009 and indexed by Reuters. Each of the universities in the top tier produced at least 85 research pieces on special education over a five-year period.
