College Named One of Top 10 for Innovative Teacher Preparation
The University of Texas at Austin's College of Education has been selected as one of 10 U.S. schools of education that is "blazing the trail to better practices" in teacher education. Edutopia, a publication produced by the George Lucas Educational Foundation, chose the 10 schools.

Diverse: Issues in Higher Education has named Dr. Kevin Cokley one of “10 Rising Stars of the Academy,” an honor bestowed on exceptional U.S. scholars under 40 years of age who have made significant contributions to higher education in teaching, service and research.

Study Investigates Psychological Well-Being of Stay-at-Home Dads
Dr. Aaron Rochlen, a counseling psychologist in the College of Education, has done several studies addressing the mental health, adjustment and barriers for men in non-traditional work roles. In several projects completed earlier this year, Rochlen turned his focus to a rapidly growing demographic: the stay-at-home dad.
