Research Interests and Expertise
Dr. Hughes' research and teaching focuses on teacher learning and technology integration in preservice and inservice contexts. Her current work examines content-based approaches to educational technology instruction and inquiry approaches to professional learning. Nested within these strands, she also focuses attention on issues related to technology leadership and the use of video-based hypermedia materials in teacher education. She currently is conducting longitudinal research focused on the UT preservice laptop requirement for teacher preparation.
