Research Interests and Expertise
My research includes work in qualitative and autoethnographic methods and mixed methodology case study. I am particularly interested in public scholarship and I work to explore the ways in which university faculty members and students choose to involve themselves in creating positive social change in schools and communities through their research and actions. The content of my research focuses on my multiple interests in teacher professional development, Holocaust studies, social studies, civic education, and intertextuality and aesthetics in educational settings.
During the 2006-2008 academic years, I am on leave from UT and serve as the Director of Education at Holocaust Museum Houston, where I can be reached at 713-942-8000, ext. 123 or mwebeck@hmh.org.
