Profile

Dr. Paul E. Resta holds the Ruth Knight Millikan Centennial Professorship in Instructional Technology and serves as Director of the Learning Technology Center at the University of Texas at Austin. He teaches advanced graduate courses in instructional technology, including Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning, Instructional Technology Planning and Management, and Advanced Instructional Systems Design. His current work focuses on Web-based learning environments, computer-supported collaborative learning, and the infusion of technology into teacher education programs.

Terminal Degree

PhD in Educational Psychology from Arizona State University with an emphasis on learning and measurement.

Current Research Projects and Grants

Development of Online Master's Degree in Educational Technology Course, Advanced Instructional Systems Design; funded by the University of Texas System TeleCampus.

Principal Investigator, Using Primary Artifacts to Understand Presidential Decision Making, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Project to develop and host workshops for history teachers on using primary sources in their instruction.

Principal Investigator, Presidential Timeline, funded by the Lyndon Baines Johnson Foundation, to expand the Presidential Timeline of the 20th Century through the addition of digital assests.
