Profile

Dr. Funsho Akingbala is a 1978 Early Childhood Education graduate (C&I), U.T. Austin. He had taught both at The College of Education and at the African and African-American Center. He also taught successfully in the Public School for about ten years. Currently he is primarily involved in Teacher Education Program at the elementary level. His teaching and research areas are: Elementary Science Education ( Elementary Science Methods K- 6th. ) and Applied Learning and Development (Sociocultural Influences on Teaching and Learning) Funsho's current projects are creating a web-based and DVD resources that provide access to nine content areas on Sociocultural Influences on Learning. Also, a web-based and DVD resources that promote Hands-on, Minds-on Sciencing, K-6th. These projects would provide unique supplementary learning opportunities to students and educators. Funsho enjoys providing Workshops in Early Childhood/Child Development in Science and Math to the teachers and Caregivers.
