The School Law Seminar provides information students need to know regarding state and federal education regulations, legal responsibilities teachers have to protect students, the rights of educators, and where to learn more about issues facing educators and students today.

Requirement Details: Completed online by watching a video of a School Law Seminar presented by Ms. Chris G. Elizalde, Attorney at Law (Walsh, Anderson, Gallegos, Green, & Treviño, P.C.) and completing a short review on SurveyMonkey for credit.
Required for: EC-6 ESL Intern II, EC-6 Bilingual Intern II, Fine Arts Intern, and Kinesiology Intern

Job Search Tools Workshop:
Résumé Writing and Interviewing Skills
The Résumé Writing and Interviewing Skills workshop provides information to students on creating résumés specifically geared toward applying for teaching positions, and offers helpful tips to help them prepare for interviews.
Requirement Details: Workshops are held twice each semester and students are required to attend at least one session. If students are unable to attend either of the sessions, they are then required to come in to the Education Services Office to watch a video of the presentation.
Required for: EC-6 ESL Intern II, EC-6 Bilingual Intern II, Special Education Intern III, Fine Arts Intern, and Kinesiology Intern

Teacher Certification Orientation
The Teacher Certification Orientation provides information to students on registering for the TExES exams, fingerprinting, and applying for certification.
Requirement Details: Students are required to attend the orientation held the semester prior to student teaching. If students are unable to attend, they are then required to come in to the Education Services Office to watch a video of the presentation.
