LAPTOP INITIATIVE FOR FUTURE EDUCATORS (LIFE PROGRAM)

All students entering the PDS are required to have a laptop computer that meets specific standards.  For further information, please visit the LIFE Program Web site.

TUBERCULIN SCREENING

Tuberculin screening is required by some Districts before students enter the schools.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHING POLICY

Interns are generally NOT PERMITTED to substitute. Only students with approval from the Director of Education Services will be permitted to substitute during the semester. While it may be perceived as a valuable teaching opportunity, we have to weigh the risk of things not going well for students who had limited amount of mentor experiences. Students will have the opportunity to do a small amount of substitute teaching around or after the mid-term point of apprentice teaching.
