Our Mission

The undergraduate program in the Department of Special Education is committed to preparing teachers to serve a diverse population of students with disabilities and their families. Our teachers will be prepared to implement research-based best practice recognizing the inherent strengths of students and their families and communities with regard to individual differences in language, culture, disability, socioeconomic status, and other sociocultural variables.
