Overview

The Department of Special Education offers a doctoral degree in Special Education with a concentration in Autism and Developmental Disabilities. The Autism and Developmental Disabilities concentration prepares doctoral students to be professional researchers and clinicians in autism and developmental disabilities (A&DD). Our training emphasizes academic foundations in the education and treatment of individuals with Aⅅ the development of research skills so that graduates can contribute new knowledge on assessment and treatment practices; and competent, ethical, and multicultural practice. Our graduates are employed as professors in universities, as directors of applied behavior analysis-based clinics for individuals with A&DD, Doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA-D), and director-level administrators.
