Location

The Department of Special Education is located in the George I. Sanchez Building (SZB) 3rd floor, Suite 306. Parking is available in the Brazos Parking Garage. There is a 30-minute loading zone area behind our building. See driving directions below.

NOTE: Speedway is permanently closed between Jester Circle Drive and MLK Boulevard for the Blanton Museum of Art and Pedestrian Mall.

Driving Directions

From Dallas

  1. Take I-35 South
  2. In Austin, take the MLK exit (approximately 19th Street)
  3. Turn right (West) onto MLK
  4. Head West on MLK through three stoplights, turn right (North) on Brazos.
  5. Park in the Brazos Parking Garage.
  6. The Sanchez Building (SZB) is just north of the corner of Speedway and Jester Circle.

From Austin-Bergstrom Airport

The airport is located about 13 miles Southeast of UT Austin. Driving directions from the airport to the Sanchez Building:

  1. Take Highway 71 West toward Austin
  2. Exit I-35 North
  3. Take the MLK exit (approximately 19th Street)
  4. Turn left (West) onto MLK
  5. Head West on MLK through three stoplights, turn right (North) on Brazos.
  6. Park in the Brazos Parking Garage.
  7. The Sanchez Building (SZB) is just north of the corner of Speedway and Jester Circle.

From San Antonio

  1. Take I-35 North
  2. In Austin, take the MLK exit (approximately 19th Street)
