ACSM Selects Bill Kohl for Citation Award and Robert Malina for Honor Award
The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) has announced Robert Malina, KHE faculty member from 1973 - 1995 and 2008 Hall of Honor awardee, is the 2013 Honor Award Winner. Dr. Malina will receive the Honor Award, the highest award given by the American College of Sports Medicine, on May 29 in Indianapolis at the Annual ACSM Meeting. The ACSM Honor Award is granted to an individual with a distinguished career of outstanding scientific and scholarly contributions to sports medicine and/or the exercise sciences. Dr. Malina joins Jack Wilmore as the only past KHE faculty member to win this prestigious award.
Bill Kohl, Affiliated Research Professor in KHE, will receive the Citation Award from the American College of Sports Medicine on May 29 in Indianapolis at the Annual ACSM Meeting. The Citation Award is one of the highest awards given by ACSM and is granted to an individual or group who has made significant and important contributions to sports medicine and/or the exercise sciences. Dr. Kohl joins current and retired KHE faculty members Ed Coyle, John Ivy, Robert Malina, and Jack Wilmore as a recipient of this award.
