Profile

Dr. Darla R. Smith recently retired from her full-time position as Professor and Chair of the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Texas at El Paso. Her primary area of research at UTEP was related to the modifiable risk factors associated with ACL injury in female athletes. She also did some work related to the scholarship of teaching and learning. She now lives in Austin where she enjoys tennis, golf, strength training and hiking and she is looking forward to working with the students, faculty and staff at UT!
