Julee Guinn investigates factors that regulate human ability and performance in sport, with particular attention given to running. Her pedagogy is influenced largely by her experience as a competitive athlete both in college and beyond, as well as her own research and coaching.
She came to The University of Texas in 2008 and lives in central Austin with her husband Trey and daughters Joy and Evelyn. In addition to teaching all sections of RUN PED, Guinn coordinates and oversees the instruction of multiple PED courses in Kinesiology at UT.
Julee Guinn graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Baylor University, where she ran cross-country and earned first place in the ACIS National Fitness Competition. She then earned a Masters of Science in Education with specialization in Sport Pedagogy from Baylor University, where she taught and developed a running program through their Department of Health and Human Performance
