Faculty Position - Exercise Physiology


FACULTY POSITION - EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY - THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN: The Department of Kinesiology and Health Education invites applications from outstanding candidates for a full-time (9-month), tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2010. Responsibilities include establishing a nationally recognized research program, mentoring graduate students and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in exercise physiology or a related life science discipline and have established a research record utilizing human and/or animal models. All areas of interest will be considered in applied physiology as related to exercise science (e.g., neurophysiology, muscle physiology, cardiovascular physiology, genetics and metabolism). Preference will be given to those applicants with potential for and/or record of extramural grant funding.
