Dr. Tiffany Whittaker has been awarded tenure and promoted to Associate professor effective Fall, 2013. Dr. Whittaker started working as an assistant professor in the Quantitative Methods (QM) program here at UT in the fall semester, 2006. Her primary research interests focus on the various facets of model specification, including model comparison/selection and model modification methods. Her methodological research typically entails simulation studies in which she examines the performance of different model specification approaches under manipulated conditions. With the use of real data sets, she also provides illustrations and demonstrations of alternative model parameterizations for pedagogical purposes. Dr. Whittaker was recently awarded a grant from AERA to extend her research to include consideration of the effects of different centering strategies on latent growth models (link to story below). Dr. Whittaker has taught many of the QM courses that are offered (including Structural Equation Modeling and Data Analysis Using SAS).
