Svinicki Honored with 2011 Texas Exes Teaching Award

Dr. Marilla Svinicki (Human Development, Culture & Learning Sciences) has been awarded a 2011 Texas Exes Teaching Award. This is a campuswide honor and was created to publicly recognize professors who have had a positive influence on the educational experience of university students. The Texas Exes website states: "The persons selected should demonstrate warmth of spirit, concern for society and the individual, the ability to impart knowledge while challenging students to independent inquiry and creative thought, and respect for an understanding of the permanent value of our culture." The Texas Exes will issue a formal announcement in the coming weeks. In the meantime, though, feel free to shower Dr. Svinicki with praise and congrats - she earned them!
