SP Student Meuthing Accepts Position at Austin State Hospital

Colin Meuthing, School Psychology third-year doctoral student, was recently appointed to the Executive Council of the Volunteer Services Board of Directors at the Austin State Hospital (ASH). Colin, who entered the program with a Masters in Special Education, specializes in the treatment of severe behavior issues. He hopes his experience on the board will help him become more familiar with the financial and organizational aspects of mental health service delivery, and to gain experience in a non-profit mental health setting. His role on the board will include working with the fellow board members to delegate funds raised for programs and projects not funded through the state to assist in the recovery of each patient.
