This news segment aired on OETA-The Oklahoma Network July 13th, 2012, and highlights the work of 50+ Teach For America staff and corps members at Lewis & Clark Elementary. Jenson spent the summer of 2012 as a Curriculum Specialist at Lewis & Clark where she was responsible for the instruction, training, and support of fifty new teachers headed for full-time teaching positions in Miami, Charlotte, Kansas City, and Greater Oklahoma. Jenson taught first grade from 2006-2008 in a Brooklyn, NY public school and spent the following three years as a staff member at Teach For America supporting other new teachers (corps members) in low-income communities across Brooklyn.  In choosing a doctoral program in counseling psychology, Chris McCarthy's coping and health lab was a perfect fit for her research interests in teacher stress.
