Counseling Psychology Student Association
The students in both Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology have joined together to form the Counseling Student Association (CSA). CSA was created to provide an open forum that encourages student morale, self-care and community. This is accomplished through formal and informal activities that foster academic and clinical training goals governed by policies of the University of Texas at Austin, the American Psychological Association, and the American Counseling Association. The organization seeks to provide resources and host activities (e.g. guest speakers, research forums, and policy discussions) that encourage personal and professional success of Counseling Psychology and the Counselor Education students. Special interests include the dissemination of information to current students and representation at faculty and/ or student sponsored meetings that impact student life experiences and help elucidate Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education program policies.
