Introduction

The Department of Educational Administration, which is ranked third among all public university educational administration programs nationwide, is proud to include among its specialized programs the Cooperative Superintendency Program.

The Cooperative Superintendency Program (CSP) at the University of Texas at Austin is at the forefront of preparing executive level educational leaders to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s public education system, striving to maintain its position among the top-rated superintendency preparation programs in the nation. The CSP seeks to attract persons with outstanding professional readiness and preparing them for executive level leadership positions, which include:

  • superintendents of school districts,
  • chief executives in state education agencies,
  • directors in education service centers or laboratories, and
  • executive level management posts in large cities or suburban districts.

This web page provides access to all the information needed for those interested in applying for the Cooperative Superintendency Program. If you wish to directly ask questions about the application process, contact our CSP Administrative Assistant at 512-475-8579.

The program’s search for Fellows is comprehensive. Experience indicates that there will be an abundance of attractive applicants for the 12-15 Fellow positions.  Our desire is for every competitive prospect to have access to this opportunity.
