Connecting to Wireless Network (restricted.utexas.edu) after WPA2 Upgrade
On Tuesday, August 5, 2008, WPA2 functionality was added to the restricted.utexas.edu wireless network on campus. WPA2 is a security protocol that can improve the stability and reliability of connections for wireless users, as well as offering stronger network security. Most users won’t need to change anything to enable their computers or wireless devices to use the updated security protocol. For more information, please visit the following two pages: [WPA2 Upgrade Issues] and [WPA2 Upgrade to Wireless Network] or call the ITS Help Desk at 475-9400.
