Profile
Professor Estes' teaching specialties are management of schools and administrative applications of high technology to school administration. His research interests center on developing competency-based programs that will provide administrators with skills in implementing strategies for technological change. He was formerly Associate Commissioner of Education with the United States Department of Education, Superintendent of Schools in Dallas, and Past President of the Texas Association of School Administrators. Dr. Estes is the College of Education's L. D. Haskew Centennial Professor of Public School Administration.
