Registration Information
Advising
The Office of the Registrar places an Advising Bar on student registration every semester. Advising bars must be cleared each semester before students can register for courses. This area of our web page describes the Curriculum & Instruction department advising process and what C&I Graduate students need to do in order to clear their advising bars.
Adding & Dropping Courses
All students (undergraduate and graduate) may add or drop courses on-line or by phone during the allotted registration Add/Drop Access periods. See the Office of the Registrar’s on-line Course Schedule for access periods. This area of our web page describes the process for adding and dropping courses through the C&I department office, which includes adding full or restricted C&I courses.
Changing Grade Status for Courses
All students (undergraduate and graduate) may change the grade status of their courses on-line or by phone during the allotted registration Add/Drop Access periods. See the Office of the Registrar’s on-line Course Schedule for access periods. Individual Instruction Courses
Individual Instruction Courses are typically defined as courses that have no organized meeting time. An Individual Instruction Consent form must be completed, signed by your instructor and turned in to the department office before a student can register for a C&I Individual Instruction Course. This area of our web page identifies the C&I department courses that are designated as individual instruction courses and describes the process of registering for a C&I individual instruction course.

Registration Forms
There are many parts to the registration process, most of which can be completed through the Office of the Registrar on-line or phone system. There are times when the student must work through the department office to register or to change their registration. Clearing advising bars, adding or dropping courses, and changing the grade status of courses are just a few of the registration tasks that can be completed through the department office. Each of these tasks requires one or more forms to be completed and turned into the department office for processing. This area of our web page identifies the various registration tasks. This area is also where you may download the form(s) needed to complete your registration through the C&I department office.
