Master Degree Plans
The Physical Education Graduate Program in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers a program leading to a Master of Arts (M.A.) or Master of Education (M.Ed.) in physical education. This program provides coursework leading to an advanced degree for individuals who are interested in physical teaching, service, research, and/or leadership. Individuals who seek a degree in physical education have the opportunity to develop a rich theoretical background and acquire research skills related to the teaching and learning of the physical education.

Doctoral Degree Plans
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree Physical Education Teacher Education is offered through the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. The Physical Education Teacher Education specialization is designed to develop teacher educators and researchers in the field of Physical Education. Our graduate physical educators and teacher educators will become leaders in the field and have the knowledge, skills, commitment, and cultural competency to provide ongoing research and leadership necessary to develop educators that will guide youth to developing healthy lifestyles.
