For the Reading Specialist Certificate, students are required to have:
- A minimum of 3 semester hours at elementary level, 3 semester hours at secondary level, and 3 semester hours of all-level work.
- A minimum of 3 semester hours of multi-cultural coursework;
- A minimum of 18 semester hours of reading courses
