Financial Assistance
In addition to departmental financial assistance, the Early Childhood Education program provides program-specific support, in the forms of scholarships, teaching assistant positions linked to program undergraduate courses, and program travel funds. The Early Childhood Education Program regularly awards the Joe L. Frost Scholarship to deserving graduate students. Teaching assistantships are available related to undergraduate early childhood courses such as Guiding Young Children, Introduction to Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Curriculum Development, and Play in Early Childhood Development. The Program also maintains a fund to provide support for graduate students who travel to present work at recognized scholarly meetings.
