Mission

The mission of the Early Childhood Education program is to prepare scholars and
educational leaders who have the knowledge, skill, and values required to
create exemplary learning environments for young children, and to prepare highly
qualified practitioners to teach in those educational settings. We do so by
advancing knowledge that improves professional practice, providing service to
education institutions and society and practicing and modeling effective
teaching and rigorous scholarship.
