BBE Masters Degree Programs
The masters degree program in Bilingual/Bicultural Education (Spanish/English) helps students deepen their understanding of the important issues in the field and in the classroom. The program supports bilingual educators to develop leadership skills in areas such as coaching, mentoring, professional development design/presentation, and classroom action research. It is a program designed for motivated individuals looking to expand their repertoire and explore new challenges in bilingual education. Master of Arts and Master of Education degrees in Bilingual/Bicultural Education are offered through the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
Master of Education Degree (36 hours)
Departmental Requirement: 3 hours
Specialization: 24 hours to include:
- Major:
- Required Courses: 18 hours
- Electives: 9 hours
- Supporting Work: 6 hours
Master of Arts/Education Degree with Report (33 hours)
Departmental Requirement: 3 hours
Specialization: 24 hours to include:
- Major:
- Required Courses: 18 hours
- Electives: 6 hours
- Supporting Work: 6 hours
- Report: 3 hours
Master of Arts Degree with Thesis (30 hours)
Departmental Requirement: 6 hours
Specialization: 24 hours to include:
- Major: Required Courses: 18 hours
- Supporting Work: 6 hours
- Thesis: 6 hours
