Glickman Lecture and Project Approach Workshop

Suzan and Julius Glickman provided generous funding for two successful community events that took place Feb 26-27, 2013 in the Austin early childhood educational community: the Glickman Lecture on Early Childhood Education and the Project Approach Workshop and Teacher Symposium. The lecture and workshop both featured Dr. Lilian Katz, professor emertia of Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana as well as Early Childhood Education Program Area Faculty. The lecture and workshop focused on the Project Approach, an early childhood approach to using project-based instruction in the early and elementary grades. Over 200 teachers from 50 public, private and charter schools participated.
