Study Abroad in Antigua, Guatemala!
Following in the footsteps of Dr. Luis Urrieta (CSE and BBE), BBE faculty member Dr. Deborah Palmer will be taking a group of UT students on a College of Education sponsored study abroad program to Antigua, Guatemala for the first summer session in 2013! While in Antigua, students will take ALD 327: Sociocultural Foundations of Learning with Dr. Palmer (cross listed in both LAS and MAS), and will also study either Spanish or Quiché at a local language school in Antigua. They’ll live with local families and volunteer in a school. Included in the six week stay will be numerous excursions and invited guest lectures. Students do not need Spanish proficiency in order to participate; please find more information at the Study Abroad Office website.
