Profile
Teresita Ramirez is a lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education in the College of Education and is the program coordinator for the undergraduate Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) program. She has been a trainer of teachers at UT-Austin for 27 years. Prior to teaching at The University of Texas she spent 8 years teaching physical and outdoor education and coaching volleyball, basketball and track in the Austin Independent School District. In addition she has been a Red Cross Instructor for over 35 years. Tere has been the recipient of the Ex-Students' Association's Texas Excellence Teaching Award in the College of Education and has received several service awards from the American Red Cross of Central Texas and Texas Parks and Wildlife.
